The first week of March 2014 for a special blessing for the family of Africa Herald Publishing House. We had a rare opportunity of listening to God's servant Pr. Philip Gai, Publishing Ministries Director, ECD, as he reminded us to have Jesus, who "speak in righteousness, mighty to save" (Isaiah 63:1) the centre of our lives. The theme, Who is this? invited the congregation to try to discover more about Jesus who has accomplished much and has overcome and is able to transform our lives. The success that Jesus had can be our personal experience if we invite Him to dwell in our life.
It was indeed a blessing to have had the servant of God remind us of the importance of partnering with the Master in all our endeavors more so since were are engaged in a sacred work of availing the printed word that tells of the wonderful love of Jesus in the hands of many a man/woman who is not acquainted with the plan of redemption.
A worker who appreciated the message presented, had this to say, "people did nor recognize Jesus inasmuch as they had been taught of His coming, some expected Him to come in pomp and style. This has taught me to be humble while in the midst of others especially those that are disadvantaged in society and when with those who are not Christians for Jesus interacted with all classes of people mostly those considered the least in the society. I also appreci-ate the value of knowing Jesus and putting all that He taught us into practice so that we are not taken by sur-prise when He comes the Second time."
Our small congregation gave an offering of 9 thou-sand shillings and we praise God for that. It is the high-est offering we have managed to receive since we had week of prayer.
It is our prayer that we personally know this Jesus who can bring about change in our lives and enable us be victorious over sin and in any other sphere of our lives. - By S. Sisei
